Mainstream Recycling is committed to ongoing innovations and continual improvement of our processes to repurpose waste for intergenerational benefit.
1. Waste is collected and captured from
site
2. Collected materials are transported
3. Waste is tipped at Mainstream Recycling
4. Treated waste is separated
5. Recyclable materials are processed
6. Waste is repurposed and given new life
We also have the ability to handle the waste delivered in combo units, grab trucks, street sweepers and tippers. This means that all stormwater waste collected from all our clients is recycled with 90% of waste being reused in the landscape sector, as a gardening product. This process assists our clients in achieving their goals of maximising diversion rates from landfill by utilising the first facility of its kind in NSW.
In addition, we note that pollutants in underground vaults (GPTs) are generally 50% liquid and 50% solid. Our licensed waste facility is one of a kind, as it also accepts both liquid and solid waste streams.
Mainstream Recycling is a fully EPA licensed recycling facility.

In 2018, Mainstream Recycling was highly commended for its Excellence in Research and Innovation from Stormwater NSW in recognition of the improvements it has made to sustainable use and management of stormwater waste.
